The West End Comes to St John’s!

St John’s is delighted to host a very special evening of music and reflection this spring: West End Has Faith, taking place on Friday 17 April 2026 at 7.30pm.

This unique concert brings together the world of West End musical theatre with the deeper themes of faith, hope, and meaning. Featuring a line-up of outstanding performers, the evening will include well-loved songs from shows such as Les Misérables, and The Phantom of the Opera, alongside music shaped by Christian faith and reflection.

The performers for the evening include Katrina Markham, David Gibson, Lucy Miller-Wall, Gareth Hides, and Katy Treharne, each bringing a wealth of experience from professional theatre, concert performance, and faith-based music.

While musical theatre is known for its spectacle and emotion, many of its greatest songs also wrestle with life’s biggest questions — suffering and redemption, love and loss, hope and perseverance. West End Has Faith invites the audience to hear these familiar songs afresh, in the context of story, worship, and reflection, within the welcoming space of St John’s.

The concert will take place at Newtownbreda Presbyterian Church (St John’s), 374 Ormeau Road, Belfast, BT7 3HX. Tickets are required, with a suggested donation of £15, and all are very welcome to attend — whether regular churchgoers, musical theatre enthusiasts, or those simply curious to explore the intersection of faith and culture.

This promises to be a joyful, thoughtful, and uplifting evening, and a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, family, and neighbours to share in something special.
