Community Pizza Night — A Slice of Something Special!

Community Pizza Night — A Slice of Something Special!

We were delighted to welcome hundreds of people to our first Community Pizza Night of the summer — our biggest one yet! Over the course of the evening, our team made and served around 300 pizzas to guests from right across our local community.

Among those who joined us were members of the L’Arche Community, participants in our English Project for asylum seekers and refugees, and many of our neighbours from the surrounding area.

As queues for pizza spewed out the front doors, there was a fantastic buzz in our bunting strewn church hall, with plenty of conversation in a warm, friendly atmosphere. It was wonderful to see such a diverse mix of people — from different backgrounds, ages, and walks of life — coming together simply to share food, connect, and get a window into church life.

We were a little overwhelmed by the numbers (some of our volunteers even went without pizza!), but the sense of community, hospitality, and joy was unmistakable.

This evening was a real team effort, with so many people helping — setting up, making pizzas, serving, welcoming, and clearing away. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.

We’re already looking forward to doing it all again at our next Community Pizza Night on 30 July!
