We often end our opening prayer by saying the Lord’s Prayer together.

Please join us in whatever version or language is most familiar to you.

Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be your name;
your kingdom come;
your will be done;
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation;
but deliver us from evil.
For yours is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen

ANNOUNCEMENTS

PLEASE NOTE: Paul will be on leave when he gets back from Senegal, returning to work on Sunday 10 May.  In the event of a pastoral emergency during this time, please contact Rev Corrina Herron.

The BELFAST CITY MARATHON is taking place today.

Several Church members are taking part to raise funds for local charities.

Rebecca McKersie for The Friends of the Cancer Centre

Matthew Breen for Action Cancer

Noel Breen for Marie Curie

Craig Meek for the Liver Support Unit

Austin Moore for Chest, Heart and Stroke

Yasmin Uprichard for the Cancer Fund for Children and

Hannah McCourt in a Public Health Agency team, not to raise funds but to raise awareness of organ donation.

Please cheer on all those taking part and consider making a donation to any of our runners in support of some extremely deserving causes.

COFFEE/TEA after Church    Volunteers are required to serve tea /coffee over the summer.  The Rota is now on the notice board in the foyer; if you can help please sign up or speak to Margaret Robinson.

FOODSTORE at COOKE whom we support would welcome supplies of shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, washing up liquid, washing gel/powder, tinned vegetables such as peas, corn and carrots, diluted juice, tinned tomatoes, jam and tea bags. Your support is much appreciated.

CHRISTIAN AID DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTORS   Bags are in the foyer ready to be collected by those who have agreed to deliver Christian Aid envelopes. Thank you.

ELDERS PACKS   Packs of Christian Aid devotional booklets are in the foyer ready for collection by the elders for delivery in their districts                                                    Thank you.

CHRISTIAN AID COLLECTORS    It is great to have 23 people going out during Christian Aid Week to deliver envelopes and some who even plan to knock doors in the hope of receiving a donation. Due to unforeseen circumstances we need three more willing people to help us out this year (don’t worry that you will be asked again next year as hopefully the normal collectors will be well enough to be back!) The streets that need covered are:

Drumkeen Manor(12);

Drumkeen Court(50);

Flush Park(57 houses);

Church Rd and Longacre (50 houses) where residents are used to a knock on their door!)

If YOU can HELP please speak to Jennifer today or phone (07889 395132). Thank you.
