ANNOUNCEMENTS

MOBILE PHONES in the Gallery: if you are sitting in the Gallery, please switch OFF your mobile phone during the service, or put it in aeroplane (or flight) mode – not just on silent.  The phones may interfere with the live stream of the service to Youtube.  This applies only in the Gallery, not in the main body of the church.

PCI is conducting an online survey on the attitudes of individual church members to climate change.  It takes about 5-10 minutes to complete, and will help to shape how PCI engages with climate change and creation care.  The deadline to respond is 31 October 2023. If you would like your views to be considered the survey can be found at the following link:     www.presbyterianireland.org/stewardshipofcreation

CHRISTMAS SHOEBOX APPEAL 2023

Shoebox time again.  Shoebox gifts sent with Operation Christmas Child inspires joy and gives unimaginable excitement and hope to millions of children in need around the world.  One box can touch not only just the child, but their whole family too.

The safest and fastest way to prepare a box is to do it online.   It remains the most efficient way to donate and allows you to discover where your shoebox goes to by including a barcode in your shoebox gift.  This can be done by scanning the QR code on the “How to Pack a SHOEBOX” leaflet or visiting Samaritan’s Purse website at https://www.samaritans-purse.org.uk/SBO

Alternatively, pre-printed shoeboxes (at a cost of 60p each) together with leaflets giving advice on what to put into your shoebox will be available after Church throughout October.   Please leave filled boxes in the Church Foyer or Office before Sunday 5 November.

Do not include sweets, toothpaste, liquids or lotions that continue to be inappropriate but sunglasses, flip-flops, socks, t-shirts, books and handmade toys can now be packed.
