10.00am - 4.00pm ‘Let God’s People Sing”, Corrymeela Centre, Ballycastle. A workshop aimed at letting participants discover what helps and what hinders good congregational singing. Material will come from across the world, across the centuries and across the traditions. This event is limited to 50 places. Cost is £15, £10 concession for senior citizens, unwaged and students. Bible Reading Survey: Today is the last day to return your Bible Survey Questionnaire. If you have lost or forgotten your questionnaire, additional forms can be found beside the return box in the Hall Foyer.
The Church AGM will take place on Friday 24th February - please put the date in your diary. In common with previous years we will begin with a meal. If anyone would be willing to help with the catering or to host a table, would they please speak to Marjorie Guiler or Clare Pollock in the Foyer after the service.
New Communicants: a series of six meetings for young people considering coming to communion for the first time will begin in the manse at 3.00pm next Sunday 22nd January. Mr Orr will also be glad to hear from any adult who would like to discuss the same subject with him prior to the March celebration of the sacrament.
Christmas World Development Appeal: please read the information in the leaflet which comes with your Chronicle magazine, and return the enclosed envelope filled as generously as you feel able to. The envelopes should be placed in the offering plates on any Sunday until the end of January.

Entry will be £5 for adults and £3 for children to be paid on the night. All funds will go towards the Halls Building Fund and Stand By Me, the Focus project for 2011/2012.

7.45pm Voices Together - Songs from Round the World in the St John’s Hall. A concert, with refreshments, in aid of H20 orphanage in Thailand which was visited and is supported by Jacynth. Admission by donation.

Habitat for Humanity One Day Build: Focus have been offered the opportunity to take part in a one day site build in Habitat’s building site in Templemore Avenue. The time will be mid morning to afternoon; if anyone from the congregation would like to join Focus on this day please email or speak to Pete asap.
Saturday 18th Feb
Choral Singing for Easter at Drumalis, Larne. This is directed by Loreto McAulay and Jonathan Rea. It is a day when individuals and members of choirs get together to learn a variety of new pieces for Lent and Easter and sing them together in a para-liturgy at the end of the day. Cost, including music and lunch, is £30
